- The society has used to hold national symposia every few years for the purpose of introducing the ongoing activities in the field of Biological Control.
- On February 22nd 1992, an introduction symposium was held in Cairo under the title "Present Status and Future Plans".
- Starting the year 2000, the society decided to hold a national symposium every two years to follow up the recent activities, efforts and successful applications of Biological Control programs in Egypt.
- 1st National Symposium was held in Cairo on March 28th 2000 under the title "Ongoing Applications of Biological Control Programs in Egypt". Main topics were:
1- Mass production of biological control agents.
2- Current strategies for biological control of pests.
3- Biological control as a base of IPM programs.
4- Extension awareness for successful biological control programs in the frame of IPM.
- 2nd National Symposium was held in Cairo, 19-20 March 2002 under the title "Current Activities and Efforts in Biological Control of Pests in Egypt". Main topics were:
1- Mass production and use of Trichogramma to control sugar-cane borers, date palm fruits and cotton bollworms.
2- Use of insect pathogens against economic pests in Egypt.
3- Protection of Biodiversity.
4- Biological control of weeds.
5- Production of insect viruses
6- Biological control of brown spot disease in faba bean
7- Mass production and use of predacious mites.
8- Use of plant extracts in IPM programs.
- The 1st Arab conference for applications of biological control in the Arab countries was held successfully in Cairo 5-7 April, 2004.
- The 2nd Arab conference for applications of biological control in the Arab countries was held in Cairo 7-10 April, 2008.
